The Oncoming Storm

The gloves tightened around his hands, his eyes fixed on the window near him.... The roar of a menacing creature loomed in the distance. Those of his hometown had fled, and most were too scared to even look at the thing.

He stood up, annoyed that this demon had to attack now... when he wasn't at his prime physical state... when his friends weren't there to help him... to support him. He was on his own this time. All he had was his sword and his will....
