Description

Luke the Mechanic

Race: Garnetan
Age: 24
Height: 3 foot 7 inches (109 cm)
Weight: 86 lbs. (39 kg)

Personality:
Luke is an outgoing, albeit envious person. He often times works on his own, mainly due to his social status, but is always welcome to a friendly face, even though he may secretly envy that person's very existence.
He is in no way a genius, but he is never afraid to give his opinion on any sort of matter. He may not always be right, but he sure acts like he is.
Among his peers, Luke is considered very tall... given most people in the city are shorter than an average human. This being the case, whenever he sees some living thing that is taller than he is, he gains a horrified fascination with them. Although, if that thing, that was bigger than he is, were to be hostile, he'd be scared out of his pants.... In short, he has gigantasophobia (The fear of giants and/or tall people).
If Luke were to not have his bandana on while in the presence of someone else, he would feel embarrassed, mainly because the mark on his forehead would be showing. This has to do with the hierarchical society he lives in (more on that in "Society").

Items:
- Red Bandana: He wears this almost all the time. He only takes it off to bathe... if he's in private. Otherwise, he'd keep it on when bathing as well.
- Satchel: This satchel is a satchel of near-infinite storage. An object placed inside of it is stored in some weird void space thingy and will ultimately weigh virtually nothing. Of course, the satchel only allows non-living items imbued with "void storage" magic (that green glowy stuff you see on the items and the satchel). Luke is unable to imbue the items himself, unfortunately.
-Various Items inside the satchel: (s88691088.onlinehome.us/pm2011…

Strengths:
- Luke is well-versed in the art of "machanization". He knows a lot about machinery and is able to understand most machines he comes across.
- He has a nifty tool satchel of infinite space (it's bigger than it looks) with a lot of tools in it. By golly, he knows how to use them, so don't mess with him!
- With the help of his size, Luke is very agile.

Weaknesses:
- He knows next to nothing about combat. He's a pacifist when it comes to physical violence.
- Because of his size, he's not very strong. He could easily be beaten in a test of strength.
- Removing his bandana in public makes him embarrassed and EXTREMELY defensive about the mark on his forehead.
- Luke is terrible with logic a lot of the time. Unless it involves machinery, he can not seem to put 2 and 2 together.
- Luke is afraid of things that are hostile and bigger than he is.

Story:
Having grown up in a hierarchical society, where class is based off of magical potential, Luke had been looked down upon by those of higher class. In order for one to have a high standing in Luke's society, they must have the central marking on their forhead be of lower numerical values. The government claims that the least amount of pointed edges their forehead's central design has, the more magical potential that person has. In cases like that, if one had a completely circular forehead design with no pointed edges anywhere, they were considered a prodigy. If the person had 1 or 2 pointed edges, they were of high class. 3 or 4 pointed edges were considered middle class, and 5 or 6 pointed edges was considered low class. However, when Luke was brought to the central government as a baby, they declared he had six pointed mark on his forehead. "Six" is a tabuu among the society. They associate that number with the devil, and it is very rare that someone is declared to have a six-pointed marking. Thusly, he was treated poorly by every one of his peers.
If there was one thing that was correct about their hierarchical society, it was the magical potential of a person based off of the mark on their forehead. Someone with zero points could learn almost any magic taught at any of the academies. Someone with six points, such as Luke, could not. As such, Luke had to find a way to make himself known and liked by the society. This is where he learned of his prodigious mechanical skills. He did his best to make amazing contraptions so people would accept him. He was still treated harshly by those of the higher society, but the lower society started to warm up to him... but they still ostracized him unless they needed his assistance for a broken boombox or something. Because of his fame starting to grow, whenever anyone mentioned the name "Lucipher" (a nickname coined for Luke because of his "relation to the devil"), they think of Luke the Mechanic.

Relationship with Bubbles:
Luke has a love-hate relationship with his robot companion. When they first met, Luke wanted to rid himself of the annoying hunk of metal. As far as Luke knew, this robot was clingy... and useless. Despite all of his hatred toward this robot, he couldn't help but feel a bit of sympathy for it. It was meant to teach kids, and Luke was the closest thing it was going to find to a little kid... yet all Luke wanted to do was run away from it. Maybe... just maybe... Luke could stick around with it until it decided to leave him.
